You need a path, not a vocabulary test

You do not have to know what every acronym means before you start. You do need to follow the steps in order. The setup guide is the instructions; this page is the map.

Set aside a time when you can work without rushing. Keep your Jibo powered safely, and check the guide’s equipment and computer requirements before starting.

First, prepare Jibo

The guide explains how to use the DFU toolkit to prepare your robot for the connection. This is the stage that changes Jibo, so stop if the screen or result does not match the instructions.

Do not replace a step with a reset or a different image you found elsewhere. If the guide calls for a backup, keep that backup somewhere you can find again.

Then, connect him to Phoenix

Once Jibo is prepared and on your Wi-Fi, follow the guide’s connection steps from your computer. Use the command the current guide gives you, not one copied from an old screenshot.

Keep the result window open. If a step fails, the exact message helps us understand what happened.

Finally, check what came back

Finish the account and robot-linking steps in the guide. Check the console, and leave Jibo plugged in while he installs his update and reboots. Do not assume a command finishing means every step on the robot has finished too.

Optional apps can wait. Get the basic connection working before adding another account or integration.

Stuck is a place to ask, not a reason to guess

If a step does not make sense, ask in Phoenix Discord. Tell us which computer you use, what Jibo shows and the step you reached. Leave passwords, pairing codes and household details out.
